Terms of Service

These terms govern the use of the GoReportIt ticketing service at goreportit.com ("the service"). By using the service you agree to them. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, that organization agrees to them too.

The service

GoReportIt is an issue tracking tool: reporters file tickets, staff triage and resolve them, and email notifications keep everyone informed. We may improve or change features over time.

Accounts

Accounts are created by your organization's administrator. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us or your administrator promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, do not:

• upload content that is unlawful, or that you have no right to share;
• upload malware or attempt to breach, probe or overload the service;
• access other organizations' data or attempt to bypass role restrictions;
• use the service to send spam or abusive messages.

We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Your data

Your organization owns the tickets, comments and attachments it puts into the service. We only use that data to operate the service, as described in the privacy policy. On termination, your organization can request an export of its data.

Availability and support

We work to keep the service available and backed up, but it is provided "as is" without a guaranteed uptime level unless one is agreed with your organization in writing. Planned maintenance and outages beyond our control can interrupt the service.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits or loss of data arising from the use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount your organization paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Termination

Your organization may stop using the service at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for material breach of these terms if the breach is not remedied within a reasonable time after notice.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make material changes we will notify account administrators by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that means acceptance of the new terms.
