Restaurant maintenance request software
Restaurant maintenance request software gives kitchen and front-of-house staff one place to report a broken fridge, a dead till or a leaking tap, and gives the people who fix things one queue to work from. With GoReportIt a shift manager reports the problem from a phone with a photo, it reaches the right person by category, and an urgent failure alerts whoever is on call.
It replaces the phone call nobody wrote down and the message that got buried during service.
Where restaurant requests get lost
Reported mid-service, forgotten by close
The fryer fault mentioned to the manager at 8pm is gone by the end of the shift. A ticket takes less time than explaining it twice.
The wrong person hears about it
The refrigeration contractor, the IT person and the office all get the same message. Categories send equipment, facilities and IT requests to the people who handle them.
No pattern until it is expensive
Three call-outs for the same oven look like three separate bad days. Search the ticket history and the repeat offender is obvious.
How a restaurant uses it
- 1Pick your categoriesKitchen equipment, refrigeration, tills and IT, building. Rename them to match how you work.
- 2Report with a photoStaff add a title, a priority and a photo or video from their phone. No training needed.
- 3Assign and trackThe ops or maintenance lead assigns each request and everyone can see its status.
- 4Close with a noteResolving a ticket records how it was fixed, so the next person does not start from zero.
GoReportIt tracks requests: something broke, someone needs to fix it. It does not keep an asset register or schedule preventive maintenance, so if you need planned servicing by asset, pair it with a maintenance system or choose one of those instead.
Frequently asked questions
Is GoReportIt a restaurant work order system?
It covers the request half of one. Staff raise a repair request, it is prioritised, assigned, discussed and closed with a note on how it was fixed. It does not manage parts, purchase orders or planned maintenance schedules.
Can kitchen staff report equipment issues without training?
Yes. Reporting is one short form: a title, a description, a category and an optional photo or video. It works in a phone browser and reporters only see their own tickets, so there is nothing to learn.
What happens when the walk-in fridge fails at night?
Raise it as urgent. A 24/7 on-call rotation sends new high and urgent tickets to whoever is on call for that category, by email and push notification, instead of waiting for the office to open.
Does it cover restaurant IT support as well as maintenance?
Yes. Tills, printers, wifi and tablets are just another category in the same queue, and an agent can be limited to the categories they handle.
Does it work for a chain with many restaurants?
Yes. Each restaurant is a group, so the central team can filter the queue by site and see which locations report the most. Reporters are free and unlimited, so the price does not grow with the number of sites.
